Thanks, Gas, I was about to try that, when I remembered that I was trying tif files for the highest fidelity. When I switched to .jpg all was fine. I think I find this way easiest right now, I might change my mind. It could be that the whole (process ) dance does take cpu load into account but not drive-throughput, which I currently suspect may have been my issue.
