Hello, My name is Casey Huber, and I was recommended to your organization as a potential space to teach people computer maintenance and safety by some folks in the community.
Of all the problems I see people have with their technology, the most common are the result of corporate greed. I believe that tech education and training needs to be as widely available as possible. The less a person knows about their phone or computer, the more likely they are to be taken advantage of by corporate greed. If you offer me a space and a time, I will offer technology teaching sessions for free. I have several topics that could be separate sessions (internet safety/security 101, how to be an educated consumer of technology, etc). This could be scheduled at your convenience. If you believe my services would be useful to people who trust your organization, I can have a presentation ready by a date of your choice (though I would ideally prefer 5 days notice). I would present a topic or series of topics, answering questions throughout the presentation as they come up. I also could create relevant handouts (paper quantity may be limited). Safe to distribute materials (ie nothing that could get me in trouble) would be available digitally for those who could not attend.
