I think I need to clear something up. The cleaning supplies that were
outside the sound room were not the cause of the problem I reported.
They have been left where they were. There were more cleaning supplies
being stored /inside/ the sound room including another mop bucket, a
vacuum, several brooms and mops and some Halloween and Christmas
decorations. They were taking up so much space the door couldn't be
closed resulting in the room being left unlocked. Those supplies are
the ones that were moved downstairs. They must not be stored in the
sound room because space is too limited and few people have access to it.
