Greetings all we have some updates and action items and supply requests
for Mni Sota Makoce (Minneapolis) and Rethink STAMP. We have members
heading today and this weekend please support with monetary donations and
supplies. Please bring the following items below to Burning Books 420
Connecticut st before Sunday Morning to be brought out Powwow Grounds in
Mni Sota Makoce (Minneapolis). Despite the conspiracy theories of paid
agitators, the vast majority of people make sacrifices of time away from
family, work and personal funds to make the world a better place and we
should support them as best we can! Our next meeting is Tuesday Feb 2nd
at 630 in person at Burning Books 420 Connecticut st and online on the same
Zoom link
https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88400211575?pwd=OG9Xb2RjQUsyTzRzMTJxeVpaRENvQT09
.

1. Message and support for Kelly

2. Drop off donations to Burning Books before sunday for Powwow Grounds

3. It May be Cold Outside, but the Fight to Stop the Monster Data Center
is ON FIRE! Updates, action items, events against new STAMP threat.

*1.*
I'm all packed and ready to get on the plane in the morning. Minneapolis,
here I come. But not for a nice visit. I'm going because I'm MAD! How dare
people, whose origins that are not from this land, try to keep others out.
And not just sending them back home but beating them, raping some, and
killing others. But that's the American way, right? Take whatever you can
from others for you and yours no matter what it cost. I'm sick of it! I've
been saying for years, because of white privilege, most people don't know
or just don't care about the brutality placed on brown and black people
because its not happening to "them". Welcome to our world. I am terribly
upset about the murders of Ms. Good and Mr. Pretti, it should have never
happened. Their stepping off the planet has waken up a lot of people. Their
government is not protecting them either. I really hope this will serve to
push for justice for ALL. I may not be much but I will go to offer support
where it is needed, live streaming, passing out supplies, escorting or
whistle blowing. I will be there for a week. Some have donated toward my
trip and for supplies at the powwow grounds. Indigenous communities are
being attacked as well. If you would like to help, you can donate to
venmo@KellyR-Maracle.
Nia:wen,
Kelly

Dear allies,

Despite the bitter cold, the campaign to stop a monster data center at
STAMP is blazing hot. We’re coming to you today with a few updates and ways
to take action.

Updates:

   -

   The NYSDEC has still not taken action to dispute STAMP developer GCEDC
   for lead agency status of the data center environmental review process. A
   spokesperson now says their deadline is January 28. So, you can still email
   and call! Click here

<https://act.nyrenews.org/tell-nysdec-to-take-lead-agency-status-for-project-double-reed>
to
   send an email to Commissioner Amanda Lefton, then call her at 518-402-8540.
   Tell her, “DEC must take lead agency status for environmental review of
   Project Double Reed.” Click here for more info and context

<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ub7qtQClQroL4dzVevOf8ZkSGdg5KXfO174vftbVrX8/edit?tab=t.k6pz3kjp8rzy>
   .
   -

   While we feel disappointed by the DEC’s inaction, the Tonawanda Seneca
   Nation’s

<https://drive.google.com/file/d/1InOtz_CKKSLdAma5kGSZs3FtN3r7OFtT/view?usp=sharing>
demand
   for DEC to take lead agency status at STAMP has been uplifted by a powerful
   group of allies: the agency from Orleans County

<https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bwXxhOQYMBv6rzZGqc_g3Wj47EgHuAIh/view?usp=drive_link>,
   environmental coalition New York Renews

<https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Ib-CF8UJ_tdhadrax0ArgdW52JY3hF6w/view?usp=drive_link>,
   the Sierra Club

<https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IWxFx73DjsqO6i8q3KeKutO4J7LU754r/view?usp=drive_link>,
   and more than 650 residents of New York State (that’s you!) The Buffalo
   News also published an editorial

<https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rR0ff2qqQ-qZ_nr7ShFi_TEUO5O0N-NU/view?usp=sharing>
calling
   on DEC to take this step.

   -

   Since their “sketch plan review” meeting on January 5, the Town of
   Alabama Planning Board has *still not* publicly posted the sketch plan or a
   revised site plan for Project Double Reed. This is outrageous! If you
   live, work, or recreate in the GLOW Region (that’s Genesee, Livingston,
   Orleans, and Wyoming Counties), we encourage you to write to them at
   [email protected] and demand that the sketch and site plans
   be publicly posted and that the Planning Board allow time for public
   comment and Q+A with the Board and STREAM reps at their next meeting, on
   February 2 at 7pm. Click here for more context and talking points on the
   sketch plan

<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1bS_UCHJp80xMP084aHH5ZRY7CCQPbT02ywGT4PHCj6A/edit?tab=t.0>
   .

   -

   We have still not seen an application for financial incentives from the
   data center developer, STREAM US Data Centers, and their corporate backer,
   Apollo Global Management. But GCEDC has signaled that they expect this
   application to be submitted before their next Board meeting in Batavia on
   February 5 (and join us there if you can

<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe04Yix-UlMckmhxPug7O-8lxu7uzvpJuiS1fDDf8fgcKUrTA/viewform?usp=header>).
   Stay tuned - there will be a public hearing on the application, and we want
   you all to come and bring friends! Learn more here

<https://www.investigativepost.org/2025/12/22/the-many-costs-of-proposed-data-center/>
   .

   -

   In response to GCEDC’s invitation to meet and discuss the data center
   proposal, the Tonawanda Seneca Nation sent a letter with the questions
   they want GCEDC and STREAM to answer before they agree to a meeting. Read
   the letter here

<https://drive.google.com/file/d/1djCU_wtByFiW2CaCm9oRIlGLbsaco5JJ/view?usp=sharing>
   .

Here are more ways to take action:

   weeks, there are many in person opportunities to take action in person. If
   you live, work, or recreate in the GLOW Region, you're welcome at all of
   them! If you don't, you are still invited to join us at the GCEDC STAMP
   Committee (Feb 4 at 8am) and Board Meeting (Feb 5 at 4pm). RSVP here
