Happy New Year FME’ers!

Safe Software is pleased to announce the release of FME Suite 2004 ICE 3, an evolutionary update to the industry-standard FME Suite spatial data transformation package. This third release in the FME 2004 product line builds on the stability and power of the previous releases, and adds a variety of enhancements.

The major changes in the release center on SmallWorld 4.0 and ArcGIS 9.0 support. SmallWorld 4.0 users can now take advantage of the

redesigned Smallworld 4.0 reader and writer found in this latest release. ArcGIS 9.0 users will enjoy support for the ArcGIS Data Interoperability

extension as well as a number of significant enhancements to the Geodatabase and ArcSDE readers and writers.

A detailed list of changes is available at:

Note: FME 2004 ICE 3 is build 1378 of FME, and was based on the same codebase as FME 2004 ICE. If you are already using a build in the 1500 series, or require any of the enhancements found in an FME 2005 beta, you’ll want to stick with the build you have or a later one in the FME 2005 beta series.

Happy FME’ing!
