Hi Garry, Actually the "stuff behind the scenes" is ArcGIS, since we use ArcObjects to write GeoDatabase.
On that basis FME gives you a version 8 geodatabase when ArcGIS 8.x is installed and a version 9 when ArcGIS 9.x is installed, because that is the version of ArcObjects available. So unfortunately there is no method of choosing which version you want. Regards, Mark Mark Ireland, Product Support Engineer Safe Software Inc. When writing data to an ESRI Personal Geodatabase, I would like to save it as the ArcGIS 8.x version, rather than 9.x (version 8 and 9 geodatabases are different). I know that the FME stuff behind the scenes must be there, as I could write version 8 rather than version 9 when I had ArcGIS 8.x loaded. I just want the ability to select which version to use. I've had a troll through the writer documentation but couldn't spot anything. Any help would be appreciated.
