Hi Marion,
It will always be SourceDataset and
DestDataset.
Because you may have more than one type of writer you get
SourceDataset_CSV, SourceDataset_SICAD etc
And because you may have more than one writer for each
format you get SourceDataset_CSV_1, SourceDataset_CSV_2 etc
So from that you can work out what your macro names should
be - it depends on how many of each writer you have in
Workbench.
Personally I'd also check the header to be sure if I had
more than one writer.
FYI In recent builds you'll find the command line that
Workbench uses to process the file listed inside the file header as a
comment.
Some formats can't be batch processed using the Batch
Deploy option so when you have them as a writer the option is greyed out. This
usually relates to database formats such as Oracle, but perhaps plugins such as
SiCAD would have the same issues.

Hi group!
I am more familiar with ascii mapping files than
workbench, but now I have to solve one problem with workbench in a batch
process. So I saved the workspace as an fme mapping file to see which Macros
are used for my two source datasets and the destination dataset. I found that
fme.exe '//%tWorkSpace//' --SourceDataset_SICAD_SQD_1 '//%tSQDFile//'.001
--SourceDataset_CSV_1 '//%tcdvFile//'.csv --DestDataset
'//%tShapeFolder//'
does the job.
Is there any easier way than searching the fme
mapping files or the workspace header to find out these macro names?
I read about menu File - Batch deploy - in the
workbench help, but this item is greyed out in my version (FME Build 1378
(FME2004ICE3) and FME Build 1625 both as ESRI Suite)!
Any ideas??
Many thanks,
Marion
