Hi Francesco,
That's not much information to go on, and I can't think of any tool in
Workbench that will join items without a known linkage.

I'm struggling to remember but I think the linkage within an SQD file is
called enum - if you have an attribute like that try to find similar
values in your Oracle database. Won't that field have an index on it?

What you could do is use the ChangeDetector or Matcher transformers in
Workbench to try and match records based on what you think is a common
attribute. If you get a lot of matches then you can be fairly certain
you have found the join - at least these transformers are a bit more
forgiving than the Joiner.

Besides that simply loading the data into FME Viewer may help you to
determine how the linkage has been formed.

If you are really stuck then you could purchase some Solutions
Assistance time from our Professional Services team who would be able to
look at your data and make suggestions. You can find more info on this
service at www.safe.com/services

How did you get in this situation anyway? I thought that Sicad was self
contained in Informix and that an SQD file would also hold all the
attribute information; or am I wrong?

Hope this helps; good luck

Mark

Thank you, Mark.
The problem is that i don't know how the spatial data are joined with
the alphanumerical data stored in oracle tables and i have to export
both data in shape file format.
any suggestion will be appreciated
Regards,
Francesco
