Hi Steve, SRG

FME still tries to read the DGNs (even when you have the box unchecked)
- but only when you set up the workspace, not when you run it. I think
the reason is that if it reads the DGNs when creating the workspace it
can place Feature Types from those attachments in the workspace. Then, a
while later, if you change your mind and set 'read from attachments' to
yes, the workspace is already set up to do so. If it didn't read the
attachment Feature Types and you later set it to 'yes' then it would be
hit-and-miss whether you actually get any data.

Obviously the continuous reading/reporting of attachments is a bug -
I've heard of it before but never been able to recreate the problem. As
SRG says, upgrade to the latest build - if that's still a problem then
let us know at [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Mark

Hi Steve,
Just to add my two cents to this!
I too have noticed this problem in the older builds, which does not
happen in the newer ones.
Can you check with the newer BUILDS?
I have 1638 with me and this problem does not occur.
HTH
Happy FME-ing :-)
Cheers
