Hi Christine 
Have you reported this to support? - it sounds like a bug to me. If
the feature can be tagged with igds_level then I don't see why
igds_level_name should be missing.

If you're stuck with working on a geometry basis then an alternate
would be to group by level name and then use a GeometryFilter to
filter the data by geometry.

I don't know what the issue is with mapping files but I'd agree with
Hans - there shouldn't be a need to go that way. For the most part
workspaces can receive parameters (macros) from an external call in
the same way that mapping files can.
