FME for ESRI 2004 ICE build 1321
I have successfully been able to export from SDE to DWG but cannot
seem to get my points in SDE to be represented by a block in the DWG.
I'm using a template dwg that has the block already defined and I use
a field on the point feature in SDE mapped to the autocad_block_name.
This is successful, but it still inserts a point. I think the mapping
is simply renaming the block_name after its already inserted....so I
tried converting the workbench (.fmw) to a .fme and edit in notepad to
supply autocad_block_name Test_block / but when I try to run that in
the Universal Translator it crashes. The screen just "blinks" and the
log is not updated. I get the same result (universal translator
crashing) without editing it in notepade. Can anyone give me some
clues to either solving the univeral translator crashing or should I
not be mapping the block name to the autocad_block_name and verify
this needs to be done via .fme
