I have a message from a user re the 2dGridReplacer - but I can't find it in Yahoo - so this is a general broadcast to everyone.
The message was... ----------------- I have a dataset of polygons in shape file format that need to be split into smaller polygons comprising of 3 rows of 4 columns. I have been trying to do this using Workbench with not very much luck. I have multiple adjacent polygons. It seems that the 2DGridReplacer looks at the bounding box of all the input polygons instead of each individual polygon and creates grids for the whole extent. I am trying to subdivide each individual input polygon into 12 new polygons (3 rows by 4 columns. This is very much like trying to create a section grid from a township polygon dataset. It must be simple to do I just can't figure it out ----------------- In FME2006 beta build 2069 onwards (now available from our web site) the 2dGridReplacer has been updated to permit group-by operations. Whover this message was from you should find that a Counter -> 2dGridReplacer (with group-by _count) combination should give you the results you need. Hope this helps!
