If it's Smallworld 4.x then you'll need to have installed the Smallworld FME
Interface. You can get that from GE or from Safe if you provide written
evidence of having a GE-Smallworld license.

When you're running that drag and drop objects into the FME-Export section and
they will become available in FME Viewer.

For Smallworld 3.x you can download the magik code interface from the safe ftp
site.

In either case see fmepedia at
http://www.fmepedia.com/index.php/Format_Specific_Questions for more details.

Subject: [fme] Working with FME4SW

Hi, the problem I have is when I want to convert or visualise Smallworld data
with FME (FME for Smallworld Edition) it gives me this error:
-----
Opening the Smallworld Writer on dataset `MACHINE_NAME:3000'
Smallworld Writer version: 1.0.1.0
Starting TICS on MACHINE_NAME:3000 using service FME Unable to connect to
Smallworld TICS Server. Is it running?
A fatal error has occured in one of the FME plugins. Terminating...
Stopping Smallworld Writer
Closing the Smallworld Writer
A fatal error has occured in one of the FME plugins. Terminating...
-----
For example, I have this error converting DXF file to Smallworld.
Have I need to install any aditional plugins or the problem is the
configuration?

Thanks in advance
