Without using some form of spatial database, truly real-time visualisation is not achievable. However, if you are able to translate your DGN files to look the way you want, you might to determine whether the FME Provider for MapGuide will meet your needs:

This works as a spatial data source, and takes care of caching the data, transforming on change, etc.

I´m requesting now the FME licence to try it.

Let me try to tell you, what my job really is:

I´ve a lot of DGN files in this situation. I must automate the process of transform a DGN file with their FRAMME attributes to a SDF file (mapguide file). Because this DGN files are always modified, so the mapguide users should see this modification in real time.

So, how FME could help me??

One solution I see is, build an Object ARX application to run with AutoCadMap. but I cannot have a AutoCadMap lincece only for this.

So is there some FME plug-in to use with some atomated application?

I know about two different FRAMME-Links - just have a look at the dgn-files
with the viewer, there should be some igds_linkage{}- attributes containing
the key values!

I have attached two examples.
