Red Geographics has just released the OGCGeometryRounder, a custom transformer for FME by Safe Software. This rounds coordinate values that are stored in a OGC WKT attribute field. FME generally stores them with a precision of 15 decimal places, which takes up a lot of storage space.
By using this custom transformer, the number of decimal places can be reduced, resulting in less storage. The current version of the transformer only supports simple geometry types: Point, Line, Polygon, no aggregates or donuts.
