Hi FME folk,
You may not have noticed but there is a new tool called the FME Data Inspector which is now provided as part of the FME product. It's available in the recent FME 2006-GB beta versions.
The Data Inspector is an example FME Objects application written in C#. We have released it for general use because it's a good tool for inspecting and troubleshooting datasets in any FME supported format.
You can find the executable in the FME installation folder. We deliberately left it off the start menu because it isn't documented and it isn't supported (though of course I guess we'd like to know if it does something seriously wrong like erasing your data, stealing your car or running off with your wife).
