Hello Heinz, Well the format supports 3d so I don't see why it shouldn't be written. Does the data in the Viewer have z values? If so perhaps try grabbing that value (CoordinateFetcher) and using it to set the autocad_elevation format attribute (expose it, then use the AttributeSetter) before writing the data.
