The StatisticsCalculator transformer would calculate the standard
deviation (not to mention the min, max, mean, mode, median etc) in a
workspace.

This transformer uses the @Tcl2 function and SortFactory factory, so
for mapping files the best thing would be to copy a transformer from
WB and paste it into a text editor to see how it is using TCL.
