BC MOF used to (still do?) do all of their FC maps in MicroStation. I'm not a MicroStation user, but my guess would be that it's a workaround for the common offset applied to these maps. We used to subtract 5 million from our Northings when working in UTM with PC Arc/Info so that we wouldn't lose sub-meter resolution with single-precision coverages. I think that Microstation had a similar limitation. There's really no such thing as BC UTM, unless someone was taking the central zone (10) and stretching it both ways or something. I hate to think about the distortion if that was done though :) Jason

Depending on the working units the features are coordinates are read in M, FT , Degrees and so on. FME has a setting to either read in Master, Sub or UOR (Units of Resolution) "ft"- Seed file for units in Feet "m" - Seed file for units in Meter (Metric) "II" - Degree ,Minutes "bcutm" - Not sure about this one. Additionally the seed file ending with _v8 mean that dgn files written using this seed file will be in V8 format. I understand the seed files are defined by 2D, 3D, v7 and v8 - however cannot find what the other alternatives listed above refer to Many Thanks, Carly Get the maximum benefit from your FME, FME Objects, or SpatialDirect via our Professional Services team.
