Hello Thomas,
Writing of cells is supported in DGN v8 format.
You will have to call the appropriate (V7 or V8) cell library when writing the symbols/ so called CELLS in MicroStation.
There is very good example to help you out on the FMEpedia there!
Give this a try:-)
Happy FME-ing![]()

Hi,
I am trying to convert a set of point data from SHP to DGN V8, and
assign a specific symbol to these points (any sort of symbols, circle,
triangle .etc). It is my understanding (please correct me if I am
wrong) that FME' V8 writer currently does not support CELL. Is there
another way to assign symbolgy to a point feature in DGN V8 file?
I am currently running FME 2006 Build 2182.
Any advices would be greatly appreciated
Regards,
Thomas
