Matt,
I have had success in the past using the @Generalize function. This
function is super useful at thinning out vertices. From what I
understand is if you use the @Generalize(Thin,100) it will keep one
vertex every 100 (meters) while tossing out the remainder.
There are many other options available with the @Generalize function
that can be used to thin out dense vertices.
