Hi

You can use the RecorderFactory to read and write FFS files at any point in 
a mappingfile, but you would have to combine it with some tcl testing wether 
the file exists or not before including the factory ( or the reader )

In a mapping file this would be quite simpel to implement, but how you would 
do it in a workebench i dont know
