Hi Steve,
Which version of FME are you using? I'm just wondering whether it is
the ODBC or the ADO reader (FME 2006 or 2006-GB)

I'd suggest trying it with 2006-GB - the official release of this is
now on our website, so you won't have to use a beta.

If it still fails then send your xls file into [EMAIL PROTECTED] and
we'll take a look at the issue.
