Hello.
I'm trying to build a custom transformer to perform the same
transformation on all my column headers (attribute names) (much like
the existing AttributeRenamer; AttributePrefixer; etc). It works fine
if I route it to a Visualiser, and in that respect all is well.
There is a slight problem, though. I can't for the life of me figure
out how to get the altered attribute names to appear as the output of
the transformer, which is what I need. The AttributeRenamer etc seem
to just route the inputs straight through (using
PRESERVES_ATTRIBUTES), and they seem to rename themselves as if by
magic (try just routing a shapefile into AttributePrefixer and
expanding the attribute list for that transformer).
More mysterious is that if you rename AttributePrefixer and try to use
it, it loses that capability altogether. Presumably something is
hardcoded somewhere else up the line.
My question, then: is there any way of accessing that capability? I've
had a play with LIST_ACTION, but it doesn't look like it does what I
want. Does this make sense? I thought not...
If anybody can decipher my message, please send me your thoughts.
Also, perhaps you can tell me what I'm talking about while you're at it...
Thanks,
Roland.
