Greetings,

I have noticed this behaviour as well. What do you want to do with the
contents of that attribute? Are they going to the output feature type at all?
If not, try using an AttributeRemover. If they are going to the output feature
type, see if an AttributeRenamer willwork for you.

Subject: [fme] identical attribute names in source and target

Hello,

I have identical attribute names in my source and target database, but
these attributes have different data types and I don't want to write
the content of the source-field to the target-field with the same name.
I do not define a link (I use the FME Workbench), but FME is although
trying to write the content from the source-field to the target-field.
I get the error message that the data-types do not match.
Can I prevent that the attributes are mapped automatically based on
the identical names?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards
Uta
