Hi SK,
I don't believe FME will treat the two as any different - OK you can
see it doesn't. What I'm not sure is whether the GE interface is where
this intelligence is lost, or whether it is FME which receives UNSET
and changes them to null.

I'll ask GE. If they pass us the values differently somehow then we
could perhaps add a Smallworld reader setting that determines how to
treat them.

If GE don't differentiate then it'll be harder because we'll need to
have them make edits to the interface too I think.

Will let you know what I can find out - but either way I don't see a
solution in the near future.
