I have an SDE layer of over 3 million point features. I would like to
extract out data based on a defined area to a shapefile. I have tried
the clipper using a shapefile. This works fine but takes a really long
time. I have limited the search area on the SDE layer with minX,minY,
and maxX,maxY. This cuts the time down quite a bit, but it is still
over 2 hours. There is an attribute I could search by, but the area I
want covers over 60 distinct values in this attribute. Does anybody
have a better idea to do this?
