Couple of quick (if dumb) questions... 1) You are writing to a different output folder aren't you? I've seen some confusion over prj files when reading/writing the same folder.
2) Which version of FME are you using? If it's a beta try 2006GB. 3) Is the coordinate system you're trying to write supported by ESRI? If not (or FME just doesn't know about it) then I can imagine it not writing a prj. Check if it's listed in the <fme install>/reproject/exceptions folder Mark --- In [email protected], "navtechie" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > I am currently converting multiple cad files to ESRI shapefiles. > > My first step is to translate the CAD files into WGS84LL shapefiles, > the next step is to translate another set of shapefiles into NTF- > Lambert.3. > > I am getting a consistent error during the shape--shape process. > > "An error has occurred while trying to write to the projection > (*.prj) file for the shape file 'C:\Documents and > Settings\mulliman\My Documents\My FME Workspaces\3CALVAIRE_line'. > The translation will continue without creating this projection > file." > > The shp, shx and dbf all write out fine, but the projection file > will not write.
