Hi,
I think the solution is to add the datum and ellipsoid definitions,
because FME obviously does not have them by default. You can add them
to the same files as you add custom coordinate systems.

If these are common datums and ellipsoids then please let us know at
[EMAIL PROTECTED] - including information on all the parameters - and
we can add these to future versions of FME.
