I have had similar adventures with GB 2006 and 9.1 GDB connection files working but connection parameters not, it looked to me like case sensitivity in the version name. I could not fix it, and it was connection specific (fails on my system, works at a customer site set up the same). I never got to the bottom of it. Bruce. It is not possible for me to connect with the SDE30 Reader\Writer to the Database using the right SDE_INSTANCE. I can only connect with SDE_DEFAULT, and in this case there are not all Featureclasses listened. I tried to connect like that "Instance Name: port:5151:sde_msgis" , but it doesn't work. I can't choose the right Version in the "Version Field". @ ESRI Geodatabase (ArcSDE) Reader\Writer: It does work with this reader\writer but only if I use SDE Connection File. If I type in the same Parameters in the FME Connection UI like in ArcCatalog it also doesn't work. I don`t know if that is a bug or if I do something wrong. I'am using FME 2007 (20070209 - Build 4282) thanks Michael Dipl.-Ing.(FH) michael pinter ms.GIS informationssysteme gmbh bahnhofplatz 1a 2340 moedling, austria mailto:michael. <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> [EMAIL PROTECTED] www.msgis.com <http://www.msgis.com/> ____________ Virus checked by G DATA AntiVirusKit Version: AVK 15.0.1306 from 02.12.2004 Virus news: www.antiviruslab.com
