Michael

I have had similar adventures with GB 2006 and 9.1 GDB connection files
working but connection parameters not, it looked to me like case sensitivity
in the version name.

I could not fix it, and it was connection specific (fails on my system,
works at a customer site set up the same). I never got to the bottom of it.

Subject: [fme] ESRI 9.2 Multi SDE Instance; SDE30 Connection Problem

Hi,

We are using one Oracle Server with multiple different 9.2 SDE_Instances.

It is not possible for me to connect with the SDE30 Reader\Writer to the
Database using the right SDE_INSTANCE. I can only connect with SDE_DEFAULT,
and in this case there are not all Featureclasses listened.

I tried to connect like that "Instance Name: port:5151:sde_msgis" , but it
doesn't work. I can't choose the right Version in the "Version Field".

@ ESRI Geodatabase (ArcSDE) Reader\Writer:

It does work with this reader\writer but only if I use SDE Connection File.
If I type in the same Parameters in the FME Connection UI like in ArcCatalog
it also doesn't work.

I don`t know if that is a bug or if I do something wrong.

I'am using FME 2007 (20070209 - Build 4282)

thanks

Michael
