hi FMErs I have Oracle 10g XE on Windows Vista (Server). I can red & write to it from a client on XP without problems. If I try on the Server itself, I get following meaningful messages (tried as well to install the Oracle client on the server, did not help):
error connecting to ora db: message was ยด(,0'. error obtaining connection to database - sqlplus works (command line) - connect via sqlplus works (command line) - ora8list on a command line returns nothing (as well from the client) - trying to list tables returns "the below command line failed to execute, ora8list ...." (works perfectly on the client) someone an idea what it could be?
