Hi Marc,
Not quite sure what you are looking for here.

To have the user enter fixed values at run-time, open up the
transformer list in the navigation pane (WORKSPACE tab), locate the
Tiler, expand the list of parameters, right-click on Tile Width and
choose Publish Parameter. Now whenever you use File > Prompt + Run the
user will be prompted to enter a value for that setting.

However, to get the values from an attribute I think you will have to
upgrade to FME2007. That version has the ability to choose an
attribute from a drop-down list.

In your version of FME, not only can you not pick an attribute, but I
don't think you can insert a function call into the field; for example
&attributeName or @Value(attributeName)
