Hi Melanie,
The reverse slash (/ not \) shouldn't be a problem. I think FME can
handle it whichever way that is. In fact I just tried it and it works
fine (but check your seed file setting in WB if you want to change it
to make sure).

The message is the one that I get when running a workspace with the
destination already open in MicroStation, so I wonder if that's the
problem.

Can you open a command (dos) window and enter the same copy command to
see if it works? I'm thinking that FME is probably just issuing such a
command in some way and this is what fails. EG...

copy V:\GIS_Updates\FME_CAD_Updates/Seed_File\KITCHENER_SEED.dgn
V:\GIS_Updates\FME_CAD_Updates

Besides that, try doing the batch without batching the output file to
see if that works. Or is that what you're already doing? I'm wondering
if we're getting tangled up in copying the seed before the last batch
has finished (doubtful, but...)

By the way, what version and build are you using? I'm using an FME2007
beta.

Regards,

Mark
