Hi Harry, Justin, Fenton, CobaltSky

It's always something obvious. Thanks for all your input. It was a comment
by CobaltSky that sparked the solution: "An idiosyncratic memory error is
routinely returned when the OS-level routine fails to locate the path
to which file creation is directed - or when the path is not accessible." At
first this didn't register as everybody has access to the fileserver where
the print dialogue saves the PDF. Then Harry pointed out: "So if you have a
server then it has to be mounted on each user machine and the the path to
print to it must be the same." Of course, the path is always the same as it
is a networked server.

But only if it is mounted!! Whereas I normally have all the shared volumes
mounted, my colleague only normally has one - and its not the one I was
using to save the PDF to. If I unmount the volume I now get the same
message.

So, thanks again for your input.

Rob
