Hello. Thanks in advance for anyone who might be able to shed some
insight into this.

I have a database with multiple tables. One layout has general
information at the top and on the bottom is a listing of shipment times.
There are 7 columns, two of which are portals and the others are a
field that repeats 20 something times to match the portal. (The reason
for the portal is to automatically fill in the shipments that usually
ship on that day of the week. My question has two parts.

(1) Is there a way to portal over the information and then make it
stay only in the current layout and not adjust the original information
if you change the information in the original table.

(2) Is there a way to keep the information from the repeating fields
to link with the portal.

The problem is if you change the information in the first table and add
a shipment, then the information automatically jumps over and the other
fields around the portal do not adjust and the information is off. Am I
looking at the problem from the wrong angle?

Thanks,

Brandon Work
