Special Characters in Mail Merge document

Hi All,

I am using Filemaker Pro 6.0v4 on XP and Im having problems with a mail merge document.  In filemaker the data is fine but when I export this data to a .mer file the special chars i.e. Vowel Accents, single quotes, ... etc are printing as funny chars.  I am presuming this is a font problem and fixable?

Any ideas welcome TIA
