Quick question for the group. I am in the middle of my move from Filemaker 6.0 to 8.5, and it's going well so far. THANKS for suggesting MetaDataMagic, it cleaned the files up nicely. I'm not just going through some test files trying to find out what new "voodoo" I'll have to work around (so far, not much).

One problem I'm trying to solve is, what is the best way to send data from Filemaker 8.5 to a web-hosted Filemaker 6 system. Essentially, we need to create records in Japan with the addresses of products that need to be shipped out of San Diego. In the past, we've both been using Filemaker 6 so it was okay, however with us upgrading in Japan, it breaks the link between the two. If anyone can suggest what the best way to send record data through the web -- our current idea is a lasso system that creates a record based on the URL, e.g. the URL has data like customernum=12345&invoicenum=67890, although it's tedious and I'm not sure if this is the best way to go -- a really long URL and lasso interface seems clunky.

I wish there were a magic ODBC/whatever way to say, here is some data, please read it and store it. Any thoughts on what the best way to proceed is?
