If that's still to rich for you, ScriptMaster includes as one of its sample Java techniques a way to do that. And it's free.

The reason why ScriptMaster not at the top of my list is that when I don't have control of a client's computer, or perhaps don't even have any contact with the machine that my solution will run on, there occasionally are issues with the Java version not being up to the task. If that's not a problem then by all means go, be free!
