You will no doubt be very proud and relieved to hear
that you have received the coveted Jackett/McDougall
Seal of Approval for this EOS stuff.
Just one thing, in the partial derivatives code
you define
p2 = p1*p1
but then only use p2 once. Might it not be more
computationally effectient to not evaluate p2 but simply
do p1*p1 where you need to?
