Dear Stephen, dear mom4 users,

I used the mom4-beta2 for tests on a NEC SX6. The few problems I
encountered when trying to compile, link and run this software on this
architecture have been reported to the mom4 user list. Taking these
changes into account everything seems to work fine. With the latest
SX6 compiler version (rev. 262.1) the Cray pointer constructs are
supported as well.

Further tests on a Linux PC (Cluster):

a) Intel Compiler 6.0

Compiling and Linking was ok. Running the executable was ok., there
remains a problem when writing the restart file, which I did not
investigate further.

b) Intel Compiler 7.0

Obviously the Intel Compiler version 7.0 has some problems with Fortran
90 modules, especially with the "use ..., only" statement. When I
eliminated those statements (e.g. for test 1) where the compiler failed
and replaced it by using the full module, the executable produced
erroneous results.

c) Portland Group Compiler

Compiling, linking and running the test cases worked well.

Regards, Rene
