All we are saying is that firefox tends to be more secure compared to
IE running in the same environment (i.e. priveleges and permissions).

I am sure IE can be deployed in way to make it user-proof and secure.
And I have done that using a Graphical Firewall called Citrix. Using
graphical firewall, I made sure that the user unintententionally
doesn't install any spyware/malware/adware etc.

Having said that, I believe that any enterprise that wants to allow
their users to browse the Internet, should use a contaiment /
virtualization (e.g. Citrix) technology to limit the harm and the
prevent the desktop from getting corrupted inadvertently. This is true
whether you use Firefox or IE.

that is problem with the poorly developed extensions and not the firefox.
