Good decision (yes, I'm biased - so shaddap, already <VBG>).
A1 - use ISA 2006. More than any other reason, the flood mitigation is
far smarter than ISA 2004.
A2 - Which web filtering product you use depends on your goals. Can you
outline your:
- your traffic profile (Internet HTTP, publishing mail, webmail,
kitty porn, etc.)
- user base (corporate, educational, hacker-wanna-bees, etc.)?
- expected traffic load in bpS?
- traffic policy *as stated on paper* (very important here)
- budget limitations
A3 - you can find lots of opinions on this (and several other unrelated
subjects) at www.isaserver.org; they are constantly polling their users
for their usage habits and experiences.

Subject: App FW for isa2K4 2K6
Hi there,
We would like too replace our squid/danguardian proxy server (my boss
don't like linux, duh!) with a windows one.
The new server would be w2K3 + isa2K4 (or isa2K6) + software for
security/filtering.
I've tested some software for the replacement of Dansguardian, which are
:
- webmon from gfi
- websecurity from symantec
I would be pleased to have some of your opinions/advices about those two
or some other software i haven't tested yet which would be more
appropriate.
Regards,
Cyrille (France)
