Because Sol 7 is EOL there is no DST patch. You need to either upgrade,
adjust the date by hand or put the system on GMT.

Then tested with a zdump:
zdump -v EST5EDT |grep 2007
which still reported April when the DST would occur. What am I missing? this
worked for linux.
