PART 3: Drilling, economic evaluation and recommendations
Well Design
- Have the objectives of the well been clearly defined?
- Is the proposed location appropriate for the stated objectives?
- Is the well design appropriate?
- Have all the alternative designs been considered?
- Is the evaluation programme appropriate ?
- Has a VOI (value of investment) or other justification been completed for coring
and/or testing ?
- Is the proposed TD appropriate ?
- Is the well likely to fulfill the objectives as stated?
Potential drilling hazards
- Have potential areas of overpressure been identified?
- Have all potential drilling hazards been considered?
- Are there any other safety issues which should be considered (eg. H2S) ?
Economic Evaluation
- Have the appropriate risks and volumes been used?
- Have alternative models been correctly evaluated and included?
- Should any other models (eg upside interpretations) be considered?
- Have the appropriate people been involved throughout the evaluation?
- Does the final value adequately reflect the value of the opportunity
Recommendations
- Are the proposed recommendations justified?
- Are there any other recommendations which could/should be made?

- Well Location (surface and targets coordinates and tolerances)
- Surface Facility, infrastructure maps (processing plant, pipeline, road etc)
- Wells reference
- Bathimetry, terrain map.
- Hazardous maps
- Well track
- Well target tolerances
- Predicted depth-lithological section (model inc. uncertainty)
