"Optimization of Mixed-Energy Resources for National Energy Security" is the theme of IAGI-HAGI Joint Convention 2007. The theme addresses the need for Indonesia to secure national energy supply and to sustain the development of energy resources as energy plays a vital role in Indonesia's economic growth. The theme of mixed energy resources is chosen following the needs of energy diversification prior to the projection of Indonesia becoming net-oil importer country. Indonesia is pursuing a sustainable energy development agenda under the National Energy Mix Policy in 2025. Toward the year, Indonesia is implementing short, medium and, long terms policies to address the broader challenges in national energy supply and sustainability. Indonesia is intensifying cooperation activities among the stakeholders with purposes of: - Enhancing conventional energy resources production - Exploring and developing new and non-conventional energy resources and supplies - Diversifying energy use and promoting alternative energy resources - Facilitating energy efficiency and conservation - Campaigning renewable energy resources Abstract Deadline: 30 March 2007 Authors are invited to submit the abstracts related to the topics listed below. Acceptance of paper would be selected on condition of maximum 300words, covering objectives, methods, results, and conclusions, preferably written in English. Abstract should not contain figures. Author should indicate his/her preference in presenting the paper as oral presentation or poster presentation. Successful abstract would be announced in 16 April 2007 and the author should submit the extended abstract at the latest 29 June 2007. The extended abstract will be reproduced on CD. Topics: 1.
