Hi all,

I went to a talk given by the eminent UK kayaker,
Brian Wilson, a couple of weeks ago.

If you've read his books "Blazing Paddles" and "Dances
with Waves" you'll know that Brian did
circumnavigations of the Scotch and Irish coastlines
in the late 80s/early 90s.

He used hardshell kayaks for both circumnavigations.

He told me that he now does all his paddling in
folders - a Feathercraft Kahuna for solo work, and a
K2 Expedition for the family. He also said that he
wishes he'd discovered folders before he did his
circumnavigations, and he's never have considered
hardshells!

Good, eh?

Bill Samson
