Hi HelpNetters.
A story in the BDN this a.m., top of State (B) section front page, outlines
issues librarians have with the Patriot Act's provisions regarding access
to library records and also (perhaps even more of concern) enforcement of
codes of silence regarding raids on library records. A meeting will be
convened tonight, 11/13, at the Unitarian Universalist Church, Rt. 1,
Ellsworth, 7 p.m. According to the news story, the meeting will discuss the
Patriot Act generally as well as library provisions. This is apparently a
public meeting, not just librarians invited.
Best to all, Paul Schroeder
