Been meaning to post a link to my latest project called Twirlip7, but was
waiting until it was further along. But with the mailing list being retired it
is now or never.
https://github.com/pdfernhout/Twirlip7

Twirlip7 tries to bring a Smalltalk-like flavor to JavaScript -- but in a
different way than Lively Kernel by embracing DOM/CSS/JavaScript instead of
hiding it. It is a programmable notebook. Underlying technologies include
Mithril.js for vdom support and Tachyons.css for CSS support. My aspirations
for Twirlip7 (or successors in the series) include moving it towards a
federated social semantic desktop eventually. Along the way towards that I also
want to make it into a Thunderbird email client replacement. Twirlip7 attempts
to address the telescope/microscope issue I raised on this list years ago. So,
still lots to do as work-in-progress.

A demo website with server support is at http://twirlip.net -- although that
site is intended just for testing and may be periodically reset. You can also
run Twirlip7 using only local storage in your browser from a rawgit link in the
GitHub readme. Or you can run your own local server using node.js.

My thanks to VPRI for hosting an interesting list like FONC for so long.
