Thanks for the link. I had missed the google code repository. I'll take some time to absorb the ins and outs of the current implementation of maru and assess its suitability as an implementation medium.

Given its suitability, I might be willing to contribute to the followings:
1. dynamic backend for 386 binary
2. JS Frontend
3. Framework for generating a JIT VM

There is some activity in my lab on JIT compilation for FPGAs, I might also be willing to dip a toe in those waters ;-)
