Hi Pravin,

I went through some Assamese ebooks and epapers and found that gaps between
characters and vowels in the used font is almost same as that of
lohit-assamese.
The gaps look more at a bigger font size but for size 12 they are necessary as
you said earlier. This issue was raised to me by one of my community members
with a older version of lohit-assamese in Windows OS. I think that might have
been a rendering issue. In present scenario, the gaps in lohit-assamese font
looks fine to me and as such I feel this bug can be closed.
